When I tried to drown my Mazda (accidentally), throwing the air filter in the oven for a few hours did a great job of drying it out.

I waited for a hot day to install mine. Slipped it on after leaving it on top of th e dash for a few hours. Never thought to just use the oven instead.

Theres a surprising number if household applications for car parts. However - do not wash your oiled air filter in your tub if it's not porcelain. I left my last apartment with a black and red stained tub for that very fact. Oops.

I had to do that when I installed a short ram intake on my old 99 Civic. He car and parts were outside in 40 degree weather, so the silicone sleeves were to small to slide onto the the throttle body and aluminum intake tubes. So I there them in the oven on like 250 for a few minutes. They got nice and soft so I can outside and slide them on.
